Our Dojo

We are a branch of Sensei Varasconi's School located in Bristol, Connecticut. Sensei Thomas Varasconi, 10th degree black belt and his brother Sensei Robert Varasconi, 9th degree black belt, are the instructors to Sensei Troy Bond. Sensei Varasconi's school is a branch of Sensei Harry Hamzy Sr.'s school in Torrington, CT. Sensei Harry Hamzy Sr. is a Grand Master (10th degree black belt), and the founder of the style of Ketsu-KaTM. Sensei John Hamzy, and Sensei Harry Hamzy Jr., are also instructors to Sensei Varasconi.

Our Style

KETSU-KATM is a very unique style of martial art. The style combines KARATE, JUDO, JU-JITSU, AIKIDO and SAVATE. These art forms combined give its practitioner the best of martial arts combined for practical self defense. The style of Ketsu-KaTM is practiced only by schools that are chartered members of the United Ketsugo and Karate Association. The United Ketsugo & Karate Association is the organization started by Sensei Hamzy Sr.. Under the U.K.K.A. there are dojos all over the United States, spanning from Maine, Massachusetts, Florida, California, and of course Connecticut.

In November 2008 Sensei Bond & some of the black belts from Sensei Bond's school Branch of Sensei Varasconi's & Sensei Hamzy's went to the Naugatuck Senior Center & donated their time to teach a free Senior self defense class. The Class was high lighted on Fox 61 news With Jim Altman. The Black belts that were in attendence were Sensei Gary Gaglione, Sensei Mary O' Brien, Sensei Troy Bond Jr. .Sensei Evelyn Rinaldi & Sensei Josh Rinaldi. Our goal was not only to reach out to our community & offer our service, but to teach our young Black Belts the merits of community, voluntering & respect for our elders.
